Wow, deviant art has broken something that didn't need to be fixed. So difficult to upload pictures now. Horrible, horrible, hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorible. Wasted 40 minutes of my time trying to upload photos of my work. Most likely will just move to another site. BLAH!

Tonight I showed my work for the 1st time in public inside an apartment complex lobby with wine, cheese and snacks. Out side there was a band playing music. I met a guy who own a bakery and coordinated this monthly event. It was really fun. I met a lot of people, told them my life story and made a few contacts. My aim is to paint for life, to pay my bills. Fingers crossed...

With King Diamond painting out of the way it's time for me to go back and finish my Platoon painting. I only put a light wash of green over some of the uniforms and then tried to do some more weeks later. I took it outside and the colors were off, way off. Disapointed I put it down for months. But a neighbor of mine asked to see it again because she liked it so much. The look on her face gave me the energy to go back and finish it no matter how bad the colors look. It's been a constant thorn in my side. I think of it weekly and sometimes daily the thought of it finished and how I went through the pains of making the bamboo frame finally work.
