I chose this picture all of moving pictures because of the rank of the soldiers in it and the expressions on their faces. The LT. who's supposed to be in charge but cowers to the alpha male SGT.Barns. SGT.Barn's himself with a rare look of sorrow over the loss of his fellow soldiers. The PVT looking into the distance with eyes burned by smoke and debris, fatigued and thirsty.

I plan to do the under painting to find values and control the lighting and color. Then I will paint over it with reeves oil colors.
